Goal setting ideas for motivating you
Start your day with a Simple Goal Exercise!
I need to make a change and I can’t get started. How many times have you said that out loud or to yourself? Probably so many times that you can’t get started. I believe that if you repeat something enough, it can come true. So to break that cycle you need to do a simple exercise.
Make one firm commitment today, something that you want to do or change, something that is small or large, something that you feel some passion about.
Motivation for the week
Write it down:
I will eat one vegetable a day
I will eat fruit every day
I will exercise today
I will clean my desk and keep it clean
I will look for or find a new job
Something that you really, really want
When you write it down, Use I WILL because as the great Yoda says, “Do or Do Not, there is no try”. Of course you are trying and may not accomplish what you want, but if you don’t start by saying I WILL, I can tell you with confidence YOU WON”T! Now after you have written it down, Say it out loud. Say it over and over again until you feel the passion coming out of your mouth and you actually feel it in your chest because your chest is puffing up with passion.
